The Beginning

The Geneva Tigers were founded 10 years ago by a group of friends who shared one common love — baseball. What started as casual weekend games on a local field in Geneva quickly grew into something much bigger. The chemistry was undeniable, and the competitive fire burned bright. It wasn't long before the group decided to make it official and form a real club.

In those early days, resources were limited. Equipment was borrowed, fields were shared, and practice schedules were improvised. But what was never in short supply was enthusiasm. The founding members believed deeply in the potential of baseball in Geneva, Switzerland — a city not traditionally known for the sport — and that belief has proven absolutely right.

Building Something Special

We chose the name "Tigers" because it represents everything we stand for — fierce competition, relentless energy, and an unwavering team spirit. The navy and white became our colors, and every time we step onto that diamond at the Centre sportif du Bout-du-Monde in Geneva, we play with everything we've got. Win or lose, we leave it all on the field.

Over the years, the Geneva Tigers have grown steadily. From a handful of players to a full competitive roster, from improvised training sessions to structured coaching programs, the club has evolved into one of the most respected baseball organizations in the Swiss Romand region. We now compete in the regional league alongside other Swiss baseball clubs including the Lausanne Indians, Bern Cardinals, Bulle Red Sox, Geneva Dragons, and Martigny Minotaures.

The Geneva Baseball Community

Baseball in Geneva has a unique character. The city is home to a remarkably international population, which means the Geneva Tigers benefit from players with roots in baseball-loving countries across North America, Latin America, Japan, and beyond. This international makeup gives our club an energy and diversity that is truly special.

We are committed to growing the sport in Geneva and Switzerland more broadly. Whether through mentoring new players, welcoming beginners at open training sessions, or simply being an ambassador for baseball in the community, the Geneva Tigers take our role seriously.
